dirty deeds done dirt cheap

America's Next Top Model Cycle 11.  i'm so ready for this.

in other news, related to the webcomic Friendly Hostility, i think Collin is FINALLY going to realize Arath's negative feelings towards Fox.  i'm not looking forward to it.  however, Sandra has assured that the ending of this arc (later this week) will be silly-sweet, so i'm only slightly worried.

happiness is a cold tentacle

best. freaking. Twilight. parody. ever:
The Most Popular Book in the Whole World by Jessica Wagstrom

From site:
"This is the best book that has ever been written. I'm serious and I'm not lying or joking at all. You may notice it bears some vague resemblance to another book by another lady about vampires that sparkle or something. This book is better. I promise. You should read it!

New chapters posted every Monday, Wednesday and Friday FOR THE LULZ"

IN OTHER NEWS:
I hookahed cherry-cola (provided by Elisabeth--who was using her own hookah for the first time, which i meantion for the word play of "popping her hookah's cherry" and "cherry-cola") for the first time tonight.  it was actually REALLY good, but didn't hit nearly as hard as the grape Kenny had in his (yesyes, we did both).  plus, small hookah=nice hits.

now, i have chinese at 10 tomorrow and it's 2:10 in the morning, so i should get some shut-eye.

don't go breakin' my heart

I finished CCS.  I don't feel any different having watched it.  I watched the 2nd movie with Michelle (who has yet to see any other part of the series).  I think she was more into the movie than I was though, just getting really pissed off at Sakura for not telling Li how she feels and she really doesn't know of the characters names.

"The girl that likes that guy" (Sakura, Li)

"That girl that's obsessed with that girl" (Tomoyo)

"The plushie thing that's that big tiger" (Kero)

"The brother that likes that other guy and that other guy that's actually, like, Sephiroth with big wings" (Touya, Yukito/Yue)

"The girl with the pretty eyes" (Meilin)

"The psychic kid...or what was he?  Reincarnated memory?" (Eriol)

"That card that was way too sensitive for it's own good" (The Hope Card)

"I LIKED WINDY!  She's pretty." (...Windy)

Michelle: I AM the movie.  I CONTROL it.  And my lips are chapped as hell *rabblerabble*

I bought my books for close to 500 dollars and threw in a copy of Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman (because I found it in the bookstore, upstairs, which means it’s a required book for some class or another—I love college).  My classes are:

General Anthropology (not specific)
Elementary Chinese (ELEMENTARY)

Civilizations of Asia

World Regional Geography (Not only geography of the world, but geography of the regional!  VERY specific.)

Introduction to Sociology (Hello, Sociology, I’m Brittany.  A+!  Class should not take long)

Sadly I had nothing to say to Civilizations of Asia.  Michelle (who was still in bed, 10:45 on a Saturday) did:

Me: What could I say about the title of that course? It’s pretty basic.

Michelle: *skeptical voice* I don’t know.  That’s a big country.  That’s a lot of Civilizations.

PIP PIP!

P.S.—

Michelle: It’s 10:45?  HOLY SHIT, I’M HUNGRY!

freelancer power, activate!

I moved in.  My place is amazing.  I have a pink butterfly chair and a comforter that looks like a comic book.  What more could I want?

Anyway, boring details: Packed in, like, two hours, tops, (Michelle says it took her less than an hour--I think she can apply for her vampire license now) and realized I had two times less than what I did last year.  THEN, when I got to the dorms, I ended up putting some of the stuff BACK in boxes for my aunts to take home!  In total, I’m using up: My desk (laptop, school supplies, printer, harddrive, lamp, books—including THE CLOW—and a clock), a small wardrobe (several shirts and one dress hanging, a hamper and bathroom and shower stuff—two drawers underneath for blankets and shoes), three of six drawers that Michelle and I stacked on top of one another (she topped, lol).  The drawers, obviously, just have clothes and towels and stuff in them.  Last year, things would have been  a mess, but it just seems like we have so much more space (even though we have SO little storage space compared to last year).

And I found out we’re staying in Hawkins, which is the international side, I think.  Unless they live on both sides?  Anyway, I’ve seen a lot of international students.   Hawkins is WONDERFUL because it’s CLEAN and the shower doors have locks (okay, not a necessity, but it’s still nice) and HANGERS TO PLACE YOUR TOWELS ON!  Also, in our room, the sun is blocked by a building until…past 10:17 (the current time).  I don’t know how long it’ll take for the sun to fully shine in this room, but it’s been a while.  If anyone ever wants to sleep in, our futon is the place to be.

Our kitchen is great, very clean, but it lacks a stove.  That’s sad.

I get to see Elisabeth today, around 2 and I am literally bouncing on my heels with anticipation.   Humming, “You Are My Sunshine”.

My parting message (before the P.S.’ to Liz...

See the joys of Pizza Hero, here:

Sandra Says: Derringer's "that's not even how you make a real pizza" comment relates to the fact that in Guitar Hero, that's not how you actually play a real guitar. This is probably why I'm good at Guitar Hero.

I LOVE YOU, GOODBYE.

P.S.—Liz, I had a nightmare that Josh decided to attend UNC-G.  He was going to live in my dorm (which had become 17 stories high—even though there were only 8 buttons on the elevator—and on the skyline of a city, somehow) and be generally argumentative and probably kick puppies.  BAH.

P.P.S- -Luna Lovegood was also in my dream, but it was a completely separate one and dealt with me, her parents’ grave, comical engines that ended up painting roads, Shaoron Li and the food industry.  I’m not kidding, Liz.

P.P.P.S.--IF YOU'VE SEEN THE NEW RVB, YOU'LL UNDERSTAND MY TITLE

...now back to Cardcaptor Sakura :D!

a girl in love with aging celebrities

That title is true.

I’m pretty sure my eyes are going to start bleeding soon from this marathon of Cardcaptor Sakura (and the blood will probably be PINK).  I’m on episode 30, at the mo’, and I’ll have to stop at episode 35 to watch the FIRST movie, which is where I think I’ll cut it off before I move in Tuesday.

Yeah, right, like I have that kind of resolve.  I’ll probably get to episode 40 before I realize I have yet to pack my clothes, wall decorations and electronics.

Don’t know what else to say, really.  I was having a good day (my cheesecake turned out well) and felt like BLOGGING.  Mostly because I know I’m going to be busy over the next few days and this may be my last chance for a bit.

Is it wrong to be excited to blog about your future dorm room?  BECAUSE I AM.

P.S.--I would like to give a thumbs-up to the blatant homosexual themes presented in one of Clamp’s most successful works.  Touya and Yukito are doing it.  And by it, I mean having some crazy, gay sex.  HOT.
